APRI and its members, BMI, carried out the crab solidarity action 1781945 by distributing food packages in several small crab supply chains in East Java, the purpose of the small crab solidarity was to help the small crab supply chain, namely the picker as a crab peeling worker and fisherman. The purpose of the 1781945 small crab solidarity action is not only in East Java Province but also in other areas that are the small crab supply chain throughout Indonesia.
As the name suggests the crab solidarity action 1781945, this means that 17 APRI members will carry out the crab solidarity activity, this assistance will be distributed in 8 provinces which are the crab supply chain, namely: North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Southeast Sulawesi and South Sulawesi. This solidarity is done to help the small crab supply chain to cope with the Covid-19 outbreak in April (4) to May (5).
On April 23, 2020, this small crab solidarity action began to run from Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province by APRI members from UPI BMI. The distribution of food packages was distributed to 230 people who were fishermen and small crab pickers.
In carrying out the action plan, APRI has raised funds from a small crab processing company that is a member of APRI, with funds that have collected more than 200 million rupiahs and distributed to each of its miniplants. The funds collected will then be used to purchase groceries in the form of rice, cooking oil, sugar and others with a value of Rp. 100,000 (PACKAGE 1) and Rp. 250,000 (PACKAGE 2). Then it will be distributed to fishermen/pickers/boilers at the small plant level.
