Focus Group Discussion Action Plan for Fisheries Improvement Acceleration Towards Certification for Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries, Bogor, December 5, 2018

Bappenas held a Focus Group Discussion activity on the Acceleration Action Plan for Fisheries Improvement Towards Certification for Blue swimming crab Fisheries on December 5, 2018 at IPB International Convention Center, Bogor. This activity is carried out in an effort to encourage sustainable practices in national fisheries supply and demonstrate improvements in superior fishery commodities.

APRI as an organization that focuses on blue swimming crab fisheries, was invited to present the Action Plan for the Acceleration of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Improvement which in this case was represented by Dr. Hawis Madduppa and Mr. Bambang A. Nugraha. The Action Plan for the Acceleration of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries delivered in this activity includes the Draft Action Plan and Strategy for Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Improvement Program, Draft Operational Guide for Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Improvement Program, Baseline Profile of Blue Swimming Crab, and the Performance Score of Blue Swimming Crab.

This activity was also attended by several directorates, sub directorates, halls, and bureaus under the KKP and Bappenas, DKP East Java, SFP, WWF Indonesia Foundation, MSC Representative-Indonesia, EDF-YBUL, and Starling Resources. The participants of this activity were given the opportunity to review and provide input on the Action Plan for the Acceleration of Blue swimming crab Fisheries that was presented by APRI.
