The Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) was held End Year Quarterly Meeting 2016 in Batu-Malang on 16-17 December 2016. APRI boards such as Kuncoro Catur Nugroho (APRI’s Chairman), Dr. Hawis Madduppa (APRI’s Excecutive Director), Wita Setioko (APRI’s Treasurer) and Bambang Arif Nugraha (APRI’s Secretary) was attended this meeting, and 15 APRI members was recorded also attend the meeting. Moreover APRI also invited delegation from YBUL, Starling Recources, Balitbangkan KKP, FPIK-Brawijaya Univ, FPIK-Bogor Agricultural Univ, and KKP-PDS.
This event has a theme that is “Mini Plant Certification Program and Traceability of products throughout the BSC supply chain Meets Fisheries Towards Global Standards and Sustainable”. This activity is expected to maintain the continuity business of pasteurized BSC Meat environmentally friendly. “There are three major issues in 2017. First, Questions of which must be answered CTF is related to meat “babangan”, which classified the meat flesh “babangan”. Progress report to miniplant continue to grow from 32 to 40. These measures be a positive step for the better. The second is the issue of IUU, the implementation of the catch certificate, APRI members will membersiapkak it. The third is related sustainability program. APRI members are also consistently present in every event apri, thus demonstrating commitment APRI members”, said APRI’s Chairman.
“Activities such as the handling and processing of fish shall be given SKP. Expected certification good way of handling fish. The purpose and scope of the SKP is to meet the basic requirements of GMP / SSOP. In order to create a quality assurance and safety of fishery products”, said Ahmad Muttaqin from PDSPKP. M. Khazali from YBUL gave presentation about BSC sustainable fisheries management models collaboratively. From SFP presentated about Control Document and Wini Trilaksani from FPIK- IPB also presentated about Evaluation of Sensory Assessment for Quality Index.
In the last part of this meeting was held signing MoU with APRI, YBUL and Starling Recources about Blue Swimming Crab Sustainable Fisheries Management Initiative.
