DKP of East Java Establishes an Action Plan for 2021-2022 and Harvest Control Rule

Through the Representative of the Head of the East Java DKP Office, Mrs. Evy Afianasari, ST, MA (East Java DKP Secretary) supports the action plan that has been prepared and agreed upon. On this occasion, Dr. Hawis Madduppa as the Executive Director of APRI has explained the rules for controlling the use of crabs.
Blue swimming crab is Indonesia’s leading export commodity which continues to be included in the top 5 fishery commodities with the highest export value in Indonesia. Based on the export province, East Java is one of the provinces with the highest exports for this crab commodity. The potential of the crabs needs to be managed properly so that sustainability can be created both from the aspect of resources and business. The management of crabs in Indonesia needs to involve various parties in order to create better management. The Indonesian Crab Management Association (APRI) in collaboration with the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of East Java Province.
Jadmika Sufiadi, S. Pi., M. AP (Head of SDI Capture Division of East Java DKP) also delivered the work program presentation by Jadmika Sufiadi, S. Pi., M. AP (Head of SDI Capture Division of East Java DKP) in the delivery of the work program. And crab management activities need to be carried out properly.
The activity carried out at UPT PMP2KP Surabaya was also attended by Mrs. Ir. Nurwahidah, M. AP (Head of P2HP DKP East Java) who gave her support by appreciating APRI’s initiatives related to crab management. At this meeting, it was agreed that the main points in the action plan and the rules for controlling the use of crabs from the East Java Province were agreed. This activity was also attended by several academics, provincial and district DKP, Mrs. Dr. Ir. Besweni, M.Si (DJPT-KKP), BKIPM, PMP2KP, Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), industry players, as well as CO-Management and APRI Enumerators and other supporting partners.
