Developing the Undertanding and Implementation of Regulation in the Management of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries in East Java Province, October 19, 2018

Accordance to the fact, there were several issues about the blue swimming crab management such as the low level of the knowledgement and awareness of the fishermans, collectors, miniplants, and other stakeholders about the importance of blue swimming crab sustainability for the sustainable business. APRI collaborating with BKIPM Surabaya 1, BP2MHP, and supported by Sustainable Fisheries Partnership are strive for the developing the knowledgement and awareness of the fishermans, collectors, miniplants, and other stakeholders in East Java Province through the program namely the Developing the Understanding and Implementation of Regulation in the Management of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries in East Java which was held on October 19, 2018 at BKIPM Surabaya 1.
This program was attended by approximately 80 persons from several stakeholders such as miniplants, suppliers, fish processor units, EDF, Starling Resources, SFP, several members of APRI, board of APRI, several DKP in East Java Province, UPT Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan East Java Province, Bid. Perhubungan Laut Dishubkominfo East Java Province, BKIPM East Java Province, UPT Pengujian Pengembangan Mutu Hasil Perikanan, PSDKP, PDSPKP-KKP, BKIPM-KKP, Dit. PSDI-KKP, and DKP East Java Province.
Opening statements from the Head of BKIPM Surabaya 1 was opened the program, and continued by several presentation and discussion which were divided into two discussion panel. The fisrt discussion panel was lead by Dr. Hawis Madduppa with several topics such as the Importance of Regulation Understanding and Enforcement of the Violation of KepMen No. 56/2016 by Mr. Bambang A. Nugraha as APRI Secretary, the Quality Development Appropriate to the Standard that was Decided through the CPIB by BKIPM Surabaya 1, and SKP Certification Steps by DKP East Java Province. And then the second discussion panel was lead by Mr. Bambang A. Nugraha with the topics were Blue Swimming Crab Management Plans by Dit. PSDI-KKP, the Registration of Small PAS for the boat below 7 GT by UPT Kesyahbandaran dan Otorisasi Pelabuhan East Java Province, the Developing of Blue Swimming Crab Product Traceability Obedience through the Implementation of Control Document by Dr. Hawis Madduppa as Executive Director of APRI, and in the end of second discussion panel there was Training the Control Document Fulfillment and the control document fulfillment using the APRI Apps.
With this program, we expected that all of stakeholder in blue swimming crab fisheries more understand about the blue swimming crab product standardization appropriate with government and market requirements. Moreover, the miniplants, collectors, suppliers, or fish processor units are be able to implement the control document.
