In order to continue the Control Document implementation, The Control Document Training Version 2.0 was conducted in Semarang on 8 January 2018. This activity was attend by APRI Members, NFI Crab Council, SFP, and Diponegoro University. An effort from APRI and NFI Crab Council, with technical support from Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, The first Control Document has been develop since the beginning 2015. For the traceability program, APRI has become a pioneer compared to other seafood products
With the implementation of this activity, is expected can meet the needs of SIMP (Seafood Import Monitoring Program) from the US Government. It is also support for data requirement to meet the requirements of Seafood Import Monitoring Program is covered in Control Document audit system conducted by third party auditor.
The responses from all the participants in regard to the Control Document are very positive. There all also a lot of constructive inputs and suggestions during the training to improve the implementation of the Control Document. It is believed that Control Document will help the industries to comply with the regulations and at the same time ensure the quality of the crabmeat they produce and sell. In the first quarter of next year, APRI will start the trial for Control Document V2.0 in the three integrated supply chain that is PT. SMB, PT. PPS and PT. PSI
