Blue Swimming Crab fishermen in Pati let off the Fish House to keep fish stock and crab resources

On Saturday, October 30, blue swimming crab fishermen in Pati carried out a reduction in fish houses, assistance from the local service, apart from Pati, the Demak area, also received similar assistance, said APRI Enumerator Kamal. The purpose of this fish house can create spawning areas and protection for eggs and chicks of fish, squid, crabs, shrimp, and so on (spawning & nursery ground function) Repair damaged habitats, increase water productivity.

In the crab fishery, the fish house will actually serve as a spawning area for adult fish or crabs or as a protection area. Then as care and rearing for fish eggs and chicks which aims to restore the availability of fish resources. “The purpose of making this fish house, in the future, will be useful in maintaining the sustainability of the use of fish resources through the introduction of artificial structures as special areas, which are expected to influence or replace some of the ecological roles/functions of the natural habitat of fish resources,” said Kamal as an APRI enumerator.
