APRI Datacenter as the basis for system traceability in the crab fishery and integrates with the national fish tracking and logistics system (STELINA)
by adminapri August 24, 2021 0 commentsOn August 16, 2021, APRI together with the Logistics Directorate of KKP held a meeting related to system coordination with STELINA (National Fish Tracking and Logistics System). The widespread practice of Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing is a serious threat to the sustainability of fishery resources. Moreover, this practice has an impact on ecosystems, food security, livelihoods, and the economy of countries in the world, especially Indonesia and as a mandate from PP Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sector, KKP has issued the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation (Permen KP) Number 29 of 2021 concerning the National Fish Traceability and Logistics System (STELINA). This regulation contains the implementation of STELINA starting from coaching, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. As a form of implementation, STELINA has been connected within the KKP scope system. “Permen KP regarding STELINA is intended to facilitate and support exporters in fulfilling traceability requirements in destination countries, and the application is easy to use and accepted by domestic business actors and export partner countries so that it can become a one stop service,”
STELINA National Fish Tracking and Logistics System is a national fish and fishery product traceability information system that was built and developed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to facilitate fisheries business actors in fulfilling policies and regulations of export destination countries. STELINA connects all supply chain and traceability information systems of fish and fishery products as an electronic traceability record starting from catching, aquaculture, suppliers, distribution, processing, to marketing.
During the meeting, APRI explained about the APRI Datacenter which would later be able to integrate with STELINA as the basis for the traceability system in the crab fishery.
