Discussion on the draft of the crab fishery management plan (RPP) at WPPNRI

On 17-18 February, APRI participated in the discussion on the draft of the crab fishery management plan (RPP) at WPPNRI. Dr. Ayu Ervinia and Azhar Slamet as representatives of APRI attended the meeting to discuss this draft in Bogor and online.

This activity is the implementation of the crab fishery management plan in all WPPNRI, the potential of the crab fishery which occupies the position of the top three fishery commodities after shrimp and TCT (Tuna, Skipjack, and Tongkol) needs to be a concern for the need for management so that the fishery is not overfished or exploited. So far, APRI has continued to be active in participating in the preparation of small crab lesson plans in East Java, Central Java, and West Java and at the ministry level. Through data collection that has been carried out by APRI since 2015 and as FIP project leaders, APRI will continue to support sustainable fisheries management efforts.
