APRI Meeting with Stakeholders (Government, Researchers, APRI Members and Fishermen) for 3-Year Audit Fishery Progress

This activity took place in 2 sessions where the stakeholders in this activity were a series of 3-year Fishery Progress Audit activities with Dr. Vineetha Aravind as External Reviewer of Blue Swimming Crab Year 3 Fishery Progress

This FIP progress is very useful and can be felt by stakeholders, and this fishery progress can also be a benchmark for a sustainable crab commodity so that this audit is expected to be able to improve the management of small crabs.

Dr. Vineetha Aravind gave questions related to FIP programs to all stakeholders, several questions were also addressed to fishermen and fishermen in the APRI co-management area.

Dr. Hawis Madduppa as executive director of APRI explained that related to this FIP trip and the importance of this program, this activity was attended by various FIP partners such as the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs and local village officials, researchers from universities, industry players including APRI members, and fishermen. .

This meeting was conducted via zoom on November 26, 2020 and the target is high to be able to improve the management of small crabs with even better scoresheet values.
