The management of blue swimming crab need to be done together with every stakeholders. To realizing the action for managing the blue swimming crab fisheries that including all of stakeholders, it is need to form a team that able to facilitate every stakeholders to participate. In several province, there was a team which is involving all of stakeholders where the stakeholders able to well collaborated to manage the blue swimming crab fisheries. One of the province that has the team is West Java Province.
West Java Province through the Head of the Agency of marine Affairs and Fisheries Decree No. 415/Kep.800/DKP form a management team for blue swimming crab fisheries namely the Sustainable Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Management Preparation Team. This team involving various stakeholders such as the government, industry, university, and NGO. APRI which consists the member from factories and companies, join the team as the representatives from the industry.
As an action to follow up the formation of the team, several programs have been carried out such as scoping visit for pilot project in West Java. In August 28, 2019, Muara Gembong, Bekasi being the place that visited by the team. The team checking the blue swimming crab fisheries conditions in the area, such as visiting the blue swimming crab supply chain. Through the scoping visit, the team will know the existing conditions so they can take appropriate management steps.
