The Meeting of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Documentation and Traceability System Director Committee, Jakarta, April 22, 2019

As time goes by, the importing country of blue swimming crab from Indonesia had/will implement several regulation. As the exported country, we have to adjust our products to appropriate with their demands or standards. To do this, we must done the several program that every performers in the blue swimming crab supply chain can adjust their role/product to market and/or government demands. One of the program is the implementation of documentation and traceability system for blue swimming crab fisheries.
To implement the documentation and traceability system, APRI and partners had done various program and one of them is control document audit. Control document audit had done in 35 mini plants at the beginning of 2019 that spreads in several areas including Java, Sumatera, and Sulawesi Island. The government had formed a committee that concerning the the documentation and traceability system that namely Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Documentation and Traceability Director Committee that was formed on May 22, 2018 based on General Directorate of Strengthening Compativeness of Marine and Fisheries Product Decree No. 74/KEP-DJPDSPKP/2018.
The committee will assess and evaluate the control document audit. And on April 22, 2019, the committe conduct the meeting to evaluate the implementation of control document and traceability system of Indonesian blue swimming crab product to meet the importing country demand and fulfillment of blue swimming crab mini plant certification. The meeting was held at the Mina Bahari III Building, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Central Jakarta. This meeting attended by Director of Fisheries Port General Director of Capture Fisheries, Director of Fisheries Resources Management Supervision General Directorate of Marine and Fisheries Resources Supervision, Head of Quality Control Center Agency of Fish Quarantine and Quality Control, Head of Sub Directorate of Standardization General Directorate of Strengthening Compativeness of Marine and Fisheries Product, Dr. Hawis Madduppa as Executive Director of APRI, Dessy Anggraini as Fisheries Improvement Program Southeast Asia-Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, Dr. Abdul Ghofar as Sustainability Envoy-National Fisheries Institute Crab Council, Head of Conformity Assessment Section, Head of Standard Formulation Section, and Executor of Sub Directorate Standardization.
