Good management for blue swimming crab fisheries need to be done to reach the sustainability aspect. The sustainability of blue swimming crab fisheries is very important, where this is realized in various areas in Indonesia. One of them is West Java Province. West Java Province was formed a team for the blue swimming crab fisheries management which is called Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Management Preparation Team of West Java Province regard to the Head of Agency of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Decree No. 415/Kep.800/DKP concerning the Sustainability Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Management Preparation Team at the Agency of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of West Java Province.
As an implementation of the decree, Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Management Preparation Team was conduct the field visit to City of Cirebon and District of Cirebon. The field visit was conducted on March 12-14, 2019. The activities is including the visit to government instantion, sister company of APRI members, miniplant, and fishermen. In the first day, the team was visiting the BKIPM Cirebon, DKP of City and District of Cirebon, UPTD PPMPP, PPN Kejawanan, PT Pan Putra Samudra, and CV Sumber Pantura/Gebang Jaya sister company of PT Bumi Menara Internusa. In the second day, the team was visiting UPTD PSDKP, miniplant and fishermen in the Ambulu, Gebang Kidul, and Gebang Wetan Village. And in the last day, the team was continuing the visit to miniplant and fishermen where miniplant and fishermen which were visited was in Bondet and Martasinga Village.
The field visit surely showing to the team how the field condition on blue swimming crab fisheries. The direct interaction also gave the team the importance information or message. Hoped that with the field visit, the blue swimming crab fisheries management will be able to conduct and applied properly where the sustainability of blue swimming crab fisheries can be realized with continuing to improve the welfare of fishermen and other subjects in blue swimming crab fisheries.
