Moreover, support from educational institutions such as university also very important to managing the blue swimming crab fisheries in Indonesia. Every stakeholders play the respective roles that can be harmonized and collaborated to make a sustainability blue swimming crab fisheries. Year to year, blue swimming crab fisheries challenged by the problems that more complex. So that, an action need to be done to solve problems by the involvement of every stakeholders.
As a follow-up to collaborate every stakeholders in blue swimming crab fisheries, APRI and Marine Affairs and Fisheries Agency of East Java, organize the Meeting of Blue Swimming Crab Fisheries Management in East Java Province, on January 21, 2019 at Harris Hotel, Surabaya. This activity invited various stakeholders such as Dit. PSDI, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Agency of East Java, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Agency in East Java Province, APRI Members in East Java Province, representative of Bappenas, representatives of Brawijaya University, NFI Crab Council, Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, Starling Resources, EDF-YBUL, Miniplants, and Suppliers.
This activity opened by representative of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Agency of East Java Province, Mr. Awalrush A. Rendy. In this opportunity, Mr. Kuncoro Catur Nugroho as APRI Chairman also gaves statements. And then, presentation and discussion were be done such as Dr. Hawis Madduppa that shared about the harmonization of blue swimming crab fisheries improvement program. The discussion session moderated by Dr. Abdul Ghofar as a representative of NFI Crab Council. The discussion session discuss about the responses from every stakeholders for blue swimming crab fisheries management in East Java Province.
Basically, every natural resources in Indonesia such as blue swimming crab are able to utilized by every Indonesian citizens. However, in order to natural resources able to utilized continously and sustainable, it needs a good management where every stakeholders involved. Blue swimming crab not only belongs to APRI. Blue swimming crab, belong to all of Indonesian citizens. So that, let’s collaborate in order to create harmony in blue swimming crab fisheries management.
