by adminapri August 20, 2018 0 commentsMeeting with the Regional Government and Fishermen in Betahwalang, Demak is an effort related to the plan to strengthen the BSC conservation area in Betahwalang. This activity was held in collaboration between Diponegoro University, SFP and APRI. In this meeting discussed the follow-up plan and strengthening of the BSC conservation in this area. As is well known that Betahwalang itself is one of the crab producing areas which gives a high contribution value in the crab soup. Because it is a fairly high producing area, control in the capture of BSC reduced. Especially for the size of the crabs that are not in accordance with government regulations and crabs lay eggs. In addition, in this area there are also 3 types of fishermen with different fishing gear, Trawl, Nets and Trawlers. So that it can directly affect the condition of the surrounding waters, especially the BSC habitat itself. Therefore, the holding of this meeting is expected to form a conservation area specifically for Blue Swimming Crab. The aim is to maintain supply stability and habitat for the crab crabs themselves.
