APRI Quarterly Meeting 3 “Cultivation for Industrial Sustainability and BSC Fisheries resources”
by adminapri November 24, 2017 0 commentsIndonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) was held 3rd Quarterly Meeting 2017 in Semarang on 14 Oktober 2017. APRI boards such as Kuncoro Catur Nugroho (APRI’s Chairman), Dr. Hawis Madduppa (APRI’s Excecutive Director), Wita Setioko (APRI’s Treasurer) and Bambang Arif Nugraha (APRI’s Secretary) was attended this meeting, and APRI members also attended the meeting. Moreover APRI also invited speaker Sugeng Rahardjo, A.Pi as Head Of BBPBAP Jepara, PT. Kemilau Bintang Timur as the review board, NFI Crab Council and Sustainable Fisheries Partnership.
This event has a theme that is “Cultivation for Industrial Sustainability and BSC Fisheries resources”. This activity is expected to maintain the continuity business of pasteurized crab meat environmentally friendly and also to improve the sustainability program for BSC Industry. In his session, Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo convey about the cultivation of BSC crabs in ponds, and conclusions than the cultivation of BSC in ponds ie
1. BSC cultivation has the potential to be developed in traditional ponds until intensive as an alternative commodity with economic value
2. The development of the cultivation of crab based on industrialization can increase the income of the cultivators and sustain the availability of raw materials processing for industry
3. Intensive socialization of BSC cultivation technology in ponds for cultivators is indispensable in the development of cultivation of crabs so that it can further contribute in increasing national fishery production
Dr. Hawis Madduppa also give the presentation about Indonesia Blue Swimming Crab Fishery Improvement Project Report against MSC Principles. At the end of this meeting, APRI representative by Kuncoro Catur Nugroho and BBPBAP Jepara representative by Sugeng Raharjo signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the development of BSC Cultivation in the pond
