Socialization and Certification of Quality Standards Product in Miniplant
by adminapri July 11, 2017 0 commentsIn order to improve the guidance on the supply chain of blue swimming crab products to meet compliance with traceability requirements, the Directorate General for Product Strengthening and Competitiveness in cooperation with Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) held an event Focus Group Discussion Socialization and Certification of Quality Standards Product in Miniplant. This event was held on Monday, 5 June 2017 at Marine and Fisheries Service Medan, North Sumatra. This event was opened by Mr. Widodo Sumiyanto as Head of Quality Control Center, BKIPM and also gave a presentation about socialization of good ways of fish handling. “The system of quality assurance and security of fishery products is the prevention and control effort that must be observed and done from pre-production to distribution to produce quality and safe fishery products for human health”, says Mr. Widodo. The traceability and documentation process under Control Document need to be implemented by all of the segments of the supply chain (started from collectors/cooking stations, miniplants and processors) in order to promote compliance to the new regulations and generate the records and documents of the supply chain application and verification of the new regiulations. Special attention needs to be focused on the picking plants (miniplants) where the cooked crab is transformed into crab meat making not possible to verify the minimum landing size (MLS) and egg berried female (EBF) afterwards.
