Initiation of Collaborative Establishment BSC Management Committee in Southeast Sulawesi

In the framework of sustainability management of Blue Swimming Crab in Southeast Sulawesi, Marine and Fisheries Agency of Southeast Sulawesi (DKP Kendari) held a meeting to discusses the development and follow up management action plan for BSC Sustainability in Southeast Sulawesi Province. This event was held on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Fisheries management is a very important aspect to be empowered. Fisheries management should ensure the quality, diversity guarantees for the next generation in accordance with national ideals. The high demand for crab in the market resulted in massive exploitation in nature so necessary to ensure the optimal management of those resources.

The purpose of the meeting is to knowing the latest developments regarding the management of crabs in the Southeast Sulawesi Province, as well as discuss about sustainable crab fishery activities by representation of all stakeholders in the BSC activities.
