Initiation of Collaborative Establishment BSC Management Committee in East Java

Initiation of Collaborative Establishment BSC Management Committee in East Java was conducted in Surabaya on 15 December 2016. This event was invited DKP East Java. This activity was attended by Kuncoro Catur Nugroho (APRI’s Chairman), Dr. Hawis Madduppa (APRI’s Excecutive Director), Zarochman (BPPT DJPT), Slamet Budiyono and Heriawan S. (DKP East Java), Bambang Purwiyono (DKP Pasuruan), Cholilurrohman (DKP Sampang), Abdul Gofar (NFI) and delegation from PT. Kelola Mina Laut, PT. Nirwana Segara, PT. Sumber Mina Bahari, PT. Rex Canning, and Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP).

“This activity is an initiation to the umbrella law will be the management committee among all stakeholders representing all activities, and is a real action for the sustainable management of BSC in East Java. This event management committee first time has been formed in Betah Walang, Central Java. Draft for decree has been prepared with the hope their inputs from all stakeholders which would be submitted first to the East Java province”, Said APRI’s Chairman. “Linkages to sustainable, this committee is a real step. This is an example of government efforts of all parties as a director and supervisor”, said Zarrochman as delegation BPPT DJPT.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the BSC fishery activities in East Java province by the representation of all stakeholders in sustainable of BSC fishing activities. Beside that also to establish a collaborative BSC Management Committee in East Java and to preparing programs and collaborative BSC fishery management activities in East Java province to achieve sustainable of BSC. For the expected output of this activity is the establishment of a BSC Management Committee Collaborative in East Java and also to design the East Java Governor Decree on the Establishment of a BSC Management Committee collaborative in East Java.
